We’re excited to announce that a new case study – Helping Consumers Save with Smart Thermostats During COVID-19 – is now available for download on our website!

The case study highlights Ameren Illinois’ smart thermostat promotion that helped residential customers improve comfort, manage usage and reduce costs during COVID-19. During the one-month promotion, Ameren Illinois provided discounted smart thermostats to over 15,000 customers, with about 7,000 customers receiving a free device. An additional 3,000 low-income customers received a free device through the Smart Savers Initiative.

With the addition of the new Ameren Illinois case study, there are now 32 case studies available in our archive on topics like energy efficiency programs, time-of-use rate education, low-income programs and AMI deployments from a wide range of electricity providers, including National Grid, SCE, Puget Sound Energy and SMUD.
