Over the last decade, the smart grid has helped create a new landscape for consumer engagement in energy. SECC's Smart Grid 2.0 fact sheets are designed to help consumers understand some of these changes and the benefits that they could potentially gain by participating in smart grid-enabled programs and services.

This fact sheets looks at the variety of pricing options that are now available to consumers today, including time-of-use rates, subscription plans and peak time incentive programs. It details how consumers might benefit under each plan and also showcases real-life examples of each plan from electricity providers across the country.
