Due to strides in the deployment of AMI, the growth in renewable energy and other factors, electricity providers across the nation are increasingly looking to help balance daily load with alternative rate structures, where price signals are used to encourage consumers to more evenly distribute their energy use throughout the day.
In the Research Brief Webinar on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. (ET), we'll explore the main findings from the forthcoming “Rate Design: What Do Consumers Want and Need?” report, which aims to evaluate the common alternative rate structures offered to both residential and SMB customers and determine what elements seem to make for success in terms of customer engagement.
Featured speakers will then discuss recommendations for program design, consumer education and outreach efforts that, if applied, will meet consumers’ needs and increase the likelihood of adoption, and they will provide real-life examples of successfully deployed alternative rate designs from electricity providers.
Featured speakers:
- Andre Ramirez, Senior Advisor, Regulatory Affairs, Pricing Design & Research, SCE
- Patty Durand, President & CEO, Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative
- Jordan Folks, Managing Consultant, Opinion Dynamics
