Upcoming Webinar: Spotlight on Low-Income Consumers

In the next Research Brief Webinar, on Wednesday, July 25 at 1 p.m. (ET), we’re exploring the main findings and implications from the soon-to-be-published “Spotlight on Low-Income Consumers: Revisiting Their Needs and Wants” report.

Joined by Liz Coyle, Executive Director of Georgia Watch, a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization, research leaders Bridget Meckley and Gomathi Sadhasivan will answer:

  • Who are lower-income consumers? And how do they compare demographically and attitudinally with higher-income consumers?
  • How energy savvy are lower-income consumers compared to consumers with higher incomes?
  • How interested are lower-income consumers in energy tech and services, including peak-time savings programs, prepaid billing, electric vehicles and smart appliances?

The speakers will also discuss opportunities for outreach, customer engagement and program design and will cover some successful examples from around the country. The session will end with a 15-minute Q&A, so please prepare questions in advance.

Featured speakers:

  • Liz Coyle, Executive Director, Georgia Watch
  • Bridget Meckley, Research Coordinator, Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative
  • Gomathi Sadhasivan, Lead – Customer Decision Sciences, DNV GL
