2025 Best Practices Guide

SECC’s Best Practices Awards, now in their eighth year, recognize leadership from electricity providers (including IOUs, public power utilities and retail providers) in the transition to a smarter, more consumer-focused energy ecosystem.

The awards highlight successful programs, technologies and strategies in six categories: Smart Energy Innovation, Culture Transformation, Consumer Engagement, SMB Engagement, Consumer Education and Energy Equity.

The six recipients of the 2025 Best Practices Awards – Arizona Public Service, Evergy, AEP, Cobb EMC, Dominion Energy South Carolina and AVEC – were recognized during SECC’s 2025 Consumer Symposium at DISTRIBUTECH on March 24.

The “2025 Best Practices Guide” provides a general overview for each of the six winners and recognizes silver and bronze runners-up for four of six categories.
