New Case Study: Direct Energy’s Digitized Bill Assistance Program

We’re excited to announce that a new case study – “Kickstarting” Energy Bill Assistance in Texas – is now available for download in the Customer Engagement Success Stories Library!

The new case study covers Direct Energy’s efforts to enhance its existing Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program to reach more of their customers in need. Working with Austin, Texas-based Gridmates, Direct Energy developed a cloud-based platform that allows individuals to crowdfund energy for those in need with a user experience familiar to Kickstarter or GoFundMe.

The addition of the Direct Energy case study makes a total of 19 case studies in the Success Stories Library on topics like AMI deployments, demand response programs and residential solar initiatives from a diverse set of utilities, including OG&E, CPS Energy, ComEd, SMUD and Georgia Power.
