We’re excited to announce that a new case study – Improving the Energy Efficiency of Low-Income Communities – is now available for download on our website!
The case study covers the development of a whole-home energy efficiency retrofit program for income-eligible consumers from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and local power company partners. With about $11.5 million in funds committed, the program will upgrade at least 680 homes in 2021. About $7,500 will be invested into each home, resulting in an average energy savings of 5,094 kWh per home.
With the addition of the TVA case study, there are now 33 case studies available in SECC’s archive on topics like energy efficiency programs, time-of-use rate education, low-income programs and AMI deployments from a wide range of electricity providers, including National Grid, Ameren Illinois, Puget Sound Energy and SMUD.
