While smart energy technologies are transforming the energy sector in many ways, lower-income communities, particularly People of Color (POC) and Black households, are often excluded from the benefits. However, these consumers typically have the most to gain from the environmental and financial benefits of smart energy. In this one-hour webinar on Thursday, February 18 at 1 p.m. (ET), we will share the key findings from the “Racial Disparities Among Lower-Income Energy Consumers” white paper, which sought to find out where and why racial disparities exist in smart energy. The speakers will also reveal recommendations for stakeholders that wish to better engage and support lower-income Black and POC consumers.
