Access the Resource
The Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative (SECC) today released a new educational resource to help residential customers better understand the terminology and charts that appear on their energy bills.
The two-page Decoding Your Power Bill guide was developed following a comprehensive review of bills from various electricity providers across the United States to determine the most common items.
The new resource features a sample bill and easy-to-understand definitions for 19 of the most common terms found on consumers' bills, including “Kilowatt-hours”, “Average Monthly Temperature”, “Meter Readings” and “Rates”.
This new resource can be found in SECC’s Education Library or on the consumer-facing website here. We encourage you to share this new resource with your customers to help them better understand the key concepts on their energy bills.
