Utilities are expanding demand response (DR) programs to increase both the scale and value created for both consumers and the utility. Collaboration is key, with technology partners helping more effectively engage consumers and manage a wider range of connected and distributed energy resources.

In this webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. (ET), speakers from Consumers Energy and Uplight will share their experiences in 2020 where they offered 100,000 no-cost smart thermostats to consumers, enrolling them in a DR program that was agile to changes brought on by the pandemic. The initiative was expanded to year-round with the launch of a winter gas DR pilot.
