In 2023, the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative (SECC) released its first Smart Energy Snapshot Survey, “Alleviating Americans’ Energy Burdens”, which revealed that a quarter of Americans were struggling to pay their electric bills and that many lacked awareness of programs to lower their bills.

With consumers still facing rising utility costs – plus the potential loss of energy assistance programs and other challenges – SECC reevaluated the financial landscape to reveal fresh insights on energy consumers’ financial challenges.

During this 30-minute webinar on Thursday, May 29 at 1 p.m. (ET), we will share key findings from the new “Addressing Energy Affordability” survey and then discuss ways that electricity providers and other industry stakeholders can assist consumers who may be struggling to pay their electric bills.
