Webinar, Low-Income Consumers
With residential electricity rates rising in many parts of the country, more and more consumers are struggling to pay their electric bills. Low-income households, who already experience significantly higher energy burdens, are being hit especially hard by these affordability challenges.
During this webinar on Tuesday, November 18 at 1 p.m. (ET), SECC’s Deputy Director Jason McGrade will share the key findings from the “Meeting the Needs of Low-Income Households” paper, which explored the electricity attitudes, priorities and concerns of low-income consumers.
After the research briefing, Amy Jewel, Vice President, Programs at Elevate, and Sarah Wochele, Equity Analyst & Advocate with the Oregon Citizens’ Utility Board (CUB), will respond to the research findings and highlight initiatives that can help address the needs of lower-income Americans.
