Stacey Kinley, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Development at Maru/Matchbox, showcased the findings of SECC's soon-to-be-released consumer research on electric bills and rates, followed by strategies for how to create meaningful messages to engage consumers about rate options from Chris Gallo, Senior Planning Analyst, Con Edison; Leigh Winterbottom, Director, Strategic Marketing & Communications, ICF; Scott Engstrom, Chief Customer Officer, GridX; and Greg Stevenson, Director of SMB Customer Products, Consumers Energy.
During our Morning Keynote, Mark Fronmuller, SVP, Strategy, Innovation, Environmental Services & Risk at Ameren, spoke about how the company is working to meet evolving customer expectations.
Susan Regan, Program Director, DNV, moderated this session featuring Yami Newell, Associate Director of Community Projects, Elevate; Larry Simpson, Director of Growth, Enervee; and Trevor Swanson, Program Manager, Arizona Power Service. They showcased how utilities are creating unique partnerships that go past just poles and wires and provide meaningful impacts to their service territories.
Steve Dawson, Vice President of Sales, Smart Energy Water (SEW), moderated this session featuring Eric Van Orden, Director of Technology Partnerships, Virtual Peaker; Laura Cornish, Product Manager, Uplight; and Brandi Hurst, Program Manager, Alabama Power. The panelists discussed ways to engage consumers in shifting their energy usage.
Lincoln Wood, Electrification Policy Manager, Southern Company, moderated our afternoon of electrification. This session started with Pauline Marcou, Director of Strategy and Growth, Bidgely, sharing ways to identify consumers looking towards electrification options. Then Scott Blunk, Strategic Planner for Energy Efficiency and Electrification, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), shared new equitable financing options for home electrification.
Part two of our afternoon of electrification began with Rodney De Fouw, Member Electrification Strategist, Great River Energy, discussing a new EV safety program for first responders. Then, Heather Mulligan, Manager of Customer Clean Energy Solutions, Puget Sound Energy, spoke about equitable electric transportation initiatives. Marianne Holohan, Director of Content, BlastPoint, Inc., shared ways utilities can identify charging deserts, and lastly, Christine Cole, Head of Technical Solutions, Itron, spoke about challenges and opportunities utilities face as more EVs hit the road.
